A Distinct Identity

Black Lives Matter Mississippi is a 501(c)(3) Non-profit local organization established in July of 2020. We are currently building our own network of young black leaders across Mississippi in an effort to organize educate and uplift all-black communities. We know that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. Our non-profit organization realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Black Lives Matter Mississippi. We are committed to collectively, lovingly, and courageously working vigorously for freedom and justice for Black people and, by extension all people. As we forge our path, we intentionally build and nurture a beloved community that is bonded together through a beautiful struggle that is restorative, not depleting.
